Uball Product FAQs:

Q: How does the pole stay in the ground?

A: Once the ground screw is securely in the ground, the pole is attached to the ground screw to create a stable base for the entire basketball structure. It is designed to withstand the force of typical dunks. It cannot withstand the force from deliberate hanging on the rim.

Q: How deep does the ground screw have to go?

A: The ground screw should go into the ground 12-15 inches deep. To assist you with this process, we have placed an indicator on the ground screw to signal the minimum depth. Additional indicators are displayed on the ground screw to indicate firmer depths.

Q: How much does Uball weigh?

A: Fully packed, the backboard weighs about 20 lbs. The telescopic poles weigh a combined 11 lbs.

Q: What is the height of the poles and how do you adjust it?

A: The height of the hoop ranges from 8.5 ft down to 5.5 ft. Height can be adjusted in 3 inch increments. The height of the rim can be adjusted in one of two ways: 1) when the interconnected pole is on the ground or 2) when the interconnected pole is in its upright position. Simply insert the height adjusting pins into the holes indicated for the desired height. Each height setting will be indicated on the pole to allow for easy adjustment.

Q: What are the dimensions of Uball?

A: The backboard is 33”x 23.5”. The poles when fully extended are 8.5 ft. high. When in transport mode, the inner and outer poles slide into each other, which reduces the length of the poles to a total of 54” (4.5 ft). The measurements of the individual poles are: 1) inner pole - 54” and 2) outer pole 48”.
